Well, operation is over and attachments are back! No posts appears to be lost, new server is much faster and... a lot of problems might be solved... please, ping me if you still get "No post mode specified" or ping me if you get the topic with unlimited reloads or attachment problems...

"ping me" was a slang that meant "please contact me if you still have no post mode specified problem".

A ping is the amount of time it takes for data to be sent to another pc and recieved by ur pc. Its used to mesure how fast you are getting data in games.

("Blank" data is sent from ur pc to the other pc, the other pc then sends a reply, ur pc times the operation)

Ping is also the name of the shell program (command line, like DOS) that is used more or less as Stucuk and hellfire said and is one of the TCP/IP protocol suite utilities.

What hellfire described is what happens when you are flooded with pings, which is referred to as a DOS (Denial Of Service) attack.
