My GDI AI builds tons of SAM Upgrades. I don't know why. This doesn't happen with Nod so it can't be AI controls.

Should I post up my Rules?

Yes but they worked perfectly fine before. They only do this when they "act correctly" as in building superweapons and such. Only this time they still have a problem.

Though I forgot to mention they do build the new defenses and they do build vulcan cannon and RPG. There will be about 3 of each and around 25 SAM Upgrade ones.

run a test and don't build any airborne vehicle's see how many sams he builds then, as he may be responding to your possible threats.

The AI is never as smart as the human. You can't expect the AI to think "Eh, there's no aircraft, I'll be fine." and not build SAMs. But believe me, I'd like that too.

It all started when I made RedEye2 able to attack ground as well. But I changed that back and it still occurs. So it must've been something else I changed in the process that didn't involve the SAM. I do mess with AI controls sometimes so...you know what, it MUST be the defenses. I think I got it, it was a defense that I created then disabled and has been happening since I enabled it once more. I'll check that now.

IIRC, that's how the AI tends to work. It asks:

"Are there any aircraft on the map?"
no?
"You know what, I could really go for a Vulcan Cannon right now."
or:
yes?
"Well, I need to get me some SAMs"

The AI is going to build a standard amount anyhow, but will it increase depending on the opponents actions/threats opposed? put your rules onto here buddy
