Subject description: cannot play lan now??
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Ive been playing my little mod with my brother over lan for a few weeks now, everythings been fine and weve had a good time.

that is until last night when it suddenly decided that our versions are different from each other and wont let us join each others created lan games.

the only change from when it did work to now when it doesnt are the following

1. added mammoth tanks to GDI

2. added a new fire sfx for the mammoth tank to the ecache03.mix (the same place my stealth black hand audio is located)

3. added this to the sound01.ini and to the weapon in the rules.ini

thats it, and now we cant play LAN together.

I even copied my entire SUN directory and sent them to him on a USB pen drive, and he overwrite all of his files with identicle ones to mine. still it says mismatched versions.

just cant be possible. please help

It will work if all the important loaded files are the same. Your brother most likely hasn't overwritten something or has additional files on his TS directory.

Remove all .ini files in your TS dir except for SUN.INI and Keyboard.ini and also remove all Expand##.mix files (aside from Expand01.mix if you have Firestorm).
