Brickwork series 4 of 4

Sadly I've modelled this time! It's my first building and it's a bit simple.

I do want the power plant to be low key.
I modelled this mostly of a blurry FMV still.

Notes:
1. I plan on lowering the blueness of the windows.
2. There are additional FX to come that will improve the feel, such has smoke coming from the chimneys.
3. I plan for there to be a flag that will fly at the top of the building, this will be a banner carrying flag that will show which side owns the power plant.
4. I'll probably put a generic 'bib' underneath the building, it will definitely not have a concrete base.

It looks like the kind of building that would get bombed in a bombing run!

Thanks for all comments throughout the brickwork series!

Might I make the point that the roof should be a different texture to the walls?
Apart from the simplicity of the textures, the model looks like a decent interpretation of the RA/Battersea Powerplant.

Looks great, but I never understood the smoke stack designs. The whole idea is to cool the water used to move the turbines, so insulating it with ceramic (bricks) which are a very good insulator doesn't make much sense. Silly Westwood, science is for not gamers.

Course, the Battersea version has much taller cooling towers.

I plan on changing the roof texture.
Thanks for your comment.

Nice work!
I should have based more of the model and texture on this power plant rather than the bland FMV version.

When I eventually remodel it I will definitely base it on the Battersea power plant.

Thanks to everyone for your comments, I need to practice my work on buildings quite a lot.

Well, when creating a model it's cool to make it realistic and all, but adding your own flair is part of modeling. The only problem I had with your model is the blue or shiny spot up front, other than that, its not bad, add some smoke from the stacks and that should make it better. looking forward to seeing more
