Ra2 YR Audio issues

recently i have been unable to hear Audio in Yuri's Revenge during game play, but i can hear the music, and i can hear the stuff in the selection screens.

i have seen that other C&C games cause this, but the only C&C games that i install are RA2 and YR... one other thing i must note is that i am able to play YR without the disk being in, and no i did not use any No CD Cracks.

i installed the game using The First Decades disk, and did have to use the patch to be able to play online, and i am using Windows 7... yes i have tried running the game in different compatibility modes.

any help would be great.... cause i hate looking away from my base and finding it halfway destroyed without even knowing when i was attacked... lol

I take it you've checked the sound options?

Also, have you tried running in Administrator? or restarting your computer, or reinstalling the game? or maybe running it without the patch?
