I think this would be a very succesful C&C game, or a mod
Subject description: What do you think?
It would be cool if a FPS game was set in the first Red Alert universe. Not like Renegade, but very realistic, something closer to Medal of Honor or Call of Duty series. But this time the protagonist shouldn't be a commando, like Tanya, in this game you are a regular soldier and you are in a team of soldiers, like those games.
That was about the single player campaign, but I think that multiplayer should be something like A Path Beyond, with C&C mode and non realistic.
I think a game like that would be very succesful, because there have been many games based on World War II that were succesful until people got bored about them, but this one is different, because WWII never happened so the story gets really interesting. Soviets invading Europe, Stalin getting some advice from Kane...
Maybe it would be good to have 2 or more campaigns, but paralell, I mean, the story doesn't change if you play one side or another.
I think the game should be realistic and very serious because that was the original Red Alert idea, the idea of what would really happened if Einstein travels trough time and kills Hitler, in a very serious and realistic way, even if the game isn't very realistic at all.
I don't think EA would make something like this, but maybe it could be a mod for... Unreal Engine 3? Cryengine 3? What do you think? QUICK_EDIT
Sounds like a good idea. They tried to make RA serious again with Renegade 2 (which, unfortunately, didn't materialize much). Would be good to see such a mod, especially if the game is set through the eyes of a normal soldier like what you suggested. _________________ The future belongs to The Forgotten! QUICK_EDIT
Hmmmm... Sounds good but that would mean just a couple of shots would kill you if you where only normal. It would add a need to hide behind shelters and such. QUICK_EDIT
Pretty obvious idea , although I did have an idea similair to this one and wrote alot of my ideas down, but it's pure fantasy unless there's some fanatics who'd make this mod because C&C is dead for a good 5 years until the point where they try to resurrect it. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum.
