The new family on the street
Subject description: Never have I witnessed such ignorance.
We live in a brand new neighborhood, brand new house. There are about ten families living in this neighborhood, and it's expected to grow by another forty houses.
The set speed limit is 5 miles per hour in the neighborhood (illegal as the set limit by law is about 20-25, don't remember exactly), but it's set in place by concerned parents. Understandable, but even I don't drive that slow. But, because I actually slow down when I know there are kids and pets out, no ones says anything to me. That's how it is for everyone.
New family moves in on the street, with a 20 year-old son. He barrels down the street at almost 40, with little regard to who or what's out and about. One of my neighbors, a religious man who had just recently lost his child of about 8 or 9 to a speeding driver, said something to the 20 year-olds' father (yeah, someone actually had to say something to this morons parants). So as a punishment, the father of this guy revokes his driving privileges for the weekend (yeah, it really ztyping happened). As an added punishment, the guy had to write a letter and apologize. But, instead of sending this one letter to the guy who originally complained, he sends it to EVERYONE in the neighborhood, and it went something like this:
"I'm sorry for speeding in the neighborhood. BUT, here's 20 reasons why you're all ztyping wrong and should leave me the hell alone:
-etc.,
-etc.,
-etc.."
My neighbor living across the street, the mother of a 5 year-old confronts him about this and tells him that his behavior is out of line. The guy tells her "Religious freaks kill people all the time." At this point, even I'm annoyed. What the ztype. Kid just made a lot of enemies for he and his family. _________________ Okay, my signature was starting to annoy even me. QUICK_EDIT
