Hey guys! It's time to fill PPM with some news about interesting things that are going on in this community and outside it. Hopefuly, in the next days, I'll be posting news more often, since I've left my job because of my university classes, research and trips. By the way, is there anyone who lives in New York City? Don't be surprised if you see me in the streets there next month.

Anwyay, let's get straight to the news:

PPM News:

-> Invasion Confirmed Final "As-Is" version has been released. I'm not entirely sure if it is really the final version, but according to DaFool, it seems to be. This total conversion brings Red Alert factions from the 3 games to C&C Generals: Zero Hour. The features of this version, compared to PPM 10th Anniversary release are not clear or mentioned by DaFool, although there is a readme file that you can read HERE. The mod can be downloaded at Invasion Confirmed Official Site.

-> Twisted Insurrection Mapping Contest deadline has been postponed. The original deadline was tomorrow. Here's Aro's quick words on it:

Aro wrote:
I have postponed this competition until a later date. It will be re-announced in April with many modifications to the restriction rules once I have more free time.

But you know... the mapping contest still exists, so you can work on it and get a much cooler map when Aro announces the changes.

-> ronco has been trying to recreate the original C&C game in the browser. What he's got so far is in pre-alpha stages, with no AI. But it's already somewhat playable. Feel free to post your opinions HERE. Oh, and it has a work in progress map editor for it as well. Very interesting!

-> Gangster has started a research on voxel.vpl file from Red Alert 2 (registered members only), trying to replicate Tiberian Sun lighting in RA2, for TS: Rewire mod. With the help of hex editors, he managed to change the way the colours behave in voxel models in game and he has also increased the contrast.

Non-PPM News

-> CNCNZ.com has brought back one of its most fun features: Tiberium Legos. Hypnotist has returned and he brought a little teaser of the third season of TL. Check it out in the video below:

And that's all for now. We'll bring more news later.
