Odd, the walls and the veins
Subject description: --someone look over here?
Well I'm working on a map in which i placed a vein field holding by walls. In game, when i destroy walls, the vein should be released and spread widely into open field, yes?
But indeed, after the walls been destoryed the vein wont grow. Yes, it did
grow and reach the walls, but when the walls' gone the growth stoped.
I checked the codes and even wiped the walls from the overlay list, but
this still happened.
Plz someone tell me why & how. People read my post will have my appreciate.
Ps, i'm not good at English so, if I didn't make myself clear, just ask. THX! QUICK_EDIT
Its a bug I noticed various times before. After destroying the wall, you need to harvest a bit of the veins, they will begin to grow at this spot once again. . .
Dont know what causes it, though _________________

Most probably the same bug that causes normal tiberium to stop growing after a while too. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
the growth logic must be flawed in the sense it cant auto detect changes to surrounding overlay (and terrain?, by that i mean deformed ground but possibly ice and destroyable cliffs). we would really need to crack the game open and have a look at how the logic runs threw its checks and any limits (intentional or not) it has. _________________ Creator of TS:BoB and some other things that might be good when finnished. Vein growth will cease every time the veins are blocked by another overlay. The veins must be destroyed or harvested for the growth to trigger again. An annoying bug, yes. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
