RIO DE JANEIRO, RJ (13/05/2004) - Stucuk and Banshee proudly present the newest tool from OS line: Open Source Palette Editor. This tool, originally called BS Palette Editor, was made by Stucuk to make the creatin of new C&C palettes easier as well as to help C&C modders to create .cscheme files for faster recolouring on Voxel Section Editor II 2.x and OS SHP Builder 3. Stucuk and Banshee recently patched the tool (1.1) to be compatible with the latest Pal Pack support on both tools.

OS Palette Editor features a nice interface for creation of palettes. Allows the user to create colour per colour or create colours based on gradient effects, where the user is able to set a starting colour and an ending colour and the program generates the colours that are between them. The program also gives you the ability of copying colours at the same palette.

OS Palette Editor also includes a built in .cscheme files editor. The .cscheme files are type of files used on both VXLSE II 2.x, VXLSE III and OS SHP Builder 3.x for faster colour replacement. With a simple click, the program reads the desired cscheme and instantaneously replace the old colours to the new desired ones. The scheme editor allows colour per colour editing as well as multiples colours editing.

OS Palette Editor helps modders on the creation of a more customize set of colours for their mod without requiring use of several use of 3rd party tools that lacks a good interface for it. OS Palette Editor is specially focus for the fast creation of palettes and cschemes to help you using your favourite SHP and Voxel editing tools.

yes, but it isnt a third party tool that lacks a good interface for editing palettes.

Yeah, this should be easier to use than PSP, because this is designed specifically for that particular purpose. Smile

And its the ONLY decent way to make cscheme files! All the Pal Pack cscheme files(Used in OS SHP Builder 3 and VXLSE III) were remade using this program (taking less than 2 mins for each one).

Important Info: This tool follows the GPL, which means that you can install and distribute it anywhere and you can edit the tool (source code is included) as long as those who worked on it are credited (at the moment: Stucuk and Banshee).
