It sucks I can tell you.

The problem is I install TFD RA2 & YR and works fine, I try XCC mixer it crashes trying to get to the folder, I think XCC can't handle the shitty name EA gave the folder Red Alert (tm) II.

but you can't Rename the folder to RA2 because FA2 says it can't find the RA2md.mix So I copied the folder and uninstalled TFD reinstalled FA2 located the RA2.MD.EXE and it all worked.

Next problem LB wont run because it can't find RA2 Installed because I have it as a folder without registry entry's as I removed tfd to make XCC work.

any solutions? any idea's what registry I can put in? or modify LB to find RA2?

Thanks

Rob

I have XCC Mixer, Final Alert 2, and LaunchBase all working with The First Decade. I have no idea what your issue is, but it's not related to TFD.

Yeah....I never had an issue with TFD, the mixer, FA2 , or any of the utilities working on any operating system. I didn't place my TFD in the folder it wanted to. I placed it directly into C:\ Westwood\(whatever game).

I've kinda had this problem, you need to leave xcc mixer scanning your files for 5 minutes or so, then everything should be gravy, works fine on my setup, both regular YR and TFD, both in default dirs.

I remember my nephew got a runtime erorr, found out he was using a pirated copy of ra2/yuri.

uninstall the game. reinstall it, when it ask for something like normal set up or advanced use advanced and put it where you want. i created a new folder

c:\Westwood

and it works fine.

I did but the problem is even when you make your own folder it makes another called red alert (tm) II and then inside that RA2

so if I did C\ Westwood it would also be

C:\Westwood\RA2\Red Alert (tm) II\RA2

I can't then move RA2 out because FA2 & LB will screw up =/

OK, I see what you are talking about. I have C:\Westwood\Red Alert (tm) II\RA2. I have the whole disc installed.

When you open the mixer, you should be able to click on the folder where the game is then click on the ra2 folder then again ra2 folder and it should work.
