Hello!

This is probably a very easy question. I want to change the damage of a plane when it crashes into units or buildings. I know how to add a death weapon to planes, but that's not what I want to do. Harrier and Black Eagle do not have a death weapon by default, but do damage when crashing. Where is the amount of damage defined? I went through the whole ini, but couldn't find anything.

You can define your own DeathWeapon= if you want too. But units that use a DeathWeapon by default use the [DefaultDeathWeapon] which uses the [DeathWH]. Though Damage from deathweapon is based on unit's MaxStrength.

I think it was said that when not have deathweapon or secondary then primary weapon is used for impact damage (1 shot). If you want separate crash damage take example from [HORNET] to use either secondary or define deathweapon.

Does [HORNET] take its secondary weapon as its DeathWeapon?

The supposed secondary weapon fallback does not exist at all. Either that, or it skips it in favor of Primary= weapon if present. From what I know though, it searches for DeathWeapon=, if not found, uses Primary= instead, and finally falls back to the global default death weapon. DeathWeaponDamageModifier applies to all three of these.

But why must there be a secondary weapon on [HORNET]? Removing it may cause random IEs, I have no idea why yet.

Changing Verses for DeathWH does not seems to have any effect, but DeathWeaponDamageModifier perfectly suits my need.
