Just looking for a yes or no answer, not how to. Maybe someone has any clue if this is possible.

Here is my thought.....its pretty much a thought for eye candy on a map. I would like to be able to put a farm area on a map. and after some time it looks like it is growing, then 2 more stages. Then if you run it over with a vehicle it would be crushed....troops could walk through it just like trees, but then it could grow back.

I am thinking it could be done like ore and it would be a special overlay......possible? If it is I will seek the how to on my own.

That's an interesting idea. Maybe not for trees, but for tall grass that gets flattened when stepped on.

I doubt it. Seems like a waste of engine resources on such an unoptimized game.

Only way I can see it working is with spawning dummy infantry that look like grass. Other infantry can then walk though them but tanks would crush them etc.

My thought was a cross between prison fence overlay being crushable and ore regrow. I don't know if my thoughts are valid, but it was just a thought. I am gonna have to look into this later down the road.

The crops terrain item would be the 'tree' to regrow while having crops over lay...

I don't see how you could get it working with either of them TBH :/ Walls can't be randomly spawned & ore is a mainly hardcoded logic that isn't compatible with anything else.

The game doesn't have anything like this so you'll have to think "outside the box" to get it working.

I'd say it would be more feasable to have crushable overlay and forget about having it regrow.
In practicality, a field would take a whole year to regrow anyhow (and after much farming no less)

I once had the idea of making all trees into crushable overlay, but no one seemed to like that idea
