Holy shit. You've just made a great leap towards realism on a C&C engine. Mind you, though, they could use some better (stronger) shading.

Will they have some sinister destruction anims? #Tongue

Don't tell me you hand drawn that in Photoshop like your other SHPs, Mig.
If it is, that is the most massive SHP I've seen so far Smile Props to ya. Wink

I think the obelisk especially could do with a colour tint to fit the environment better.. it sticks out a little too much imo.

More contrast would be better, but my GOD THOSE ARE SO NICE.

Are these several buildings put together or are they just one building?

Everything is nice, except:

-The buildings kinda lack a bit of shadow contrast, really.
-The obelisk - surely isn't it a bit too...big?...
-Will we have skirmish missions with those buildings, including the Reichstag? #Tongue

The Washington Monument is the tallest structure in the whole city. The RA2 version was just tiny #Tongue

All the buildings look a bit flat. Try darkening all the shadows - at the moment they're too faint.

The white house is missing its balcony on the curved front.

The washington monument looks too fat for its height.

just a few observations.

I see balconies a-plenty.... But I'm pretty sure they weren't there pre war..
EDIT: Google was of very little help in checking that, however.

@rami: This is a skirmish map, missions are still a long way off.

@Crim/Lee: I'm not making destruction anims... would be way too much work with my hand drawn method of shp making XP.

@Clazzy: Well how else are ya gona tell that it's a RA2 mod #Tongue

@Symp: The balcony wasn't added until 1948, I have made three different versions of the White House, the one in the pic is the pre-war version circa 1940. There is also a late-war version with the 1943 extended east wing & a post-war version with the balcony.

@all: The lack of contrast is just my style & I like it that way, you're all too used to high contrast 3D renders that look plasticy & unnatural IMO.

I think the buildings are perfect the way the are. It gives it that old fashion look. I would not touch a thing.

yeah I agree. For example, the if you take a look at the Washington monument base, it's really bright compared with the shadow directly next to it.

Also, the washington monument has an ALUMINUM top, not a stone top. Fix that. And, there's a small building attached to the base that you seem to have omitted, that was there when the thing was built. And the shaded side has to be way darker.

It does have the aluminium tip, the top few pixels are gold/yellow coloured...

The "small building" is on the side facing away from the screen so you can't see it.

I think it can be possible with AlphaLight iirc.

Basically a copy of the shadow frame + all that color thing.

EDIT: Is it only 1 building with custom foundation or is it a bunch of buildings together?

The Capitol building is one building & the White house is three put together, but they both use custom foundations tho.

An alpha image wouldn't be hard to test out, I'll look into it later.

one thing about the Washington monument is it garrisonable? would really hate to see the enemy getting that and getting a huge range bonus with it #Tongue
