Airpads and free units
Hey, i've got a few questions and i hope i can find the answers here. So, we all know that NAREFN and GAREFN have FreeUnit=xx and that makes them give a free harvester. Can this be done with airpads ? FreeUnit=xx doesn't work, i've tryied it and it spawns a "vehicle type" Black Eagle, which isn't airport bound and also, it sucks at killing enemy units and structures, he acts like he's... confused, and doesn't know if and when to fire. FreeAircraft=xx also didn't worked, it didn't spawned anything this time. And, is it possible to give 4 free planes, like one for every dock ? And last but not least, how can i make the tech airport, CAAIRP, have 2 landing docks, for the Harrier and Black Eagle ? I added
Helipad=yes
NumberOfDocks=2
Factory=AircraftType and
UnitReload=yes and when i tell a plane to land on it, it beggins desceding, but when they land, they are under the airport. And, another thing about the tech airport. It has those cross things, i thought that the planes would land there, but nooo, they landed in the middle of the freakin' building, right on the roof, and afterw that they dissapeared under the airport ...
Any of these questions might have an ansewer that will make me happy ?
Well, your pretty much screwed on all of that, except, you can use SeperateAircraft=no which will give you your first free aircraft. But it has side affects. Everyone meaning all countries will receive their first aircraft free, but it will be the first one listed in the PadAircraft= list. So if say ORCA is first in list, then all countries who build airports will get an orca. You'll pretty much have to build a universal aircraft for all sides and counties if you use this.
For the caairp, it needs a bib for the aircraft to land on, and Docking offsets will need to be configured. _________________

you'll have to do some photo shopping of the caairp .shp
cut out the landing pad area of the .shp so it makes 2 seperate images.
you will also have 2 seperate .shp files now too

Just look at how the gaairc is made. You'll see what I'm talking about.

And yet again Cranium shows that when he says something, he knows what he's saying ... i tryied your codes Krow, and they don't work. The game allows me to build aditional aircrafts, but after i click'em, the buidup runs and about half the way it stops, completly. Seems like those bibs are the only way ...

Guys, why to these Harrier behave like this ? ... I added a soviet AirPad, and while i was testing it, i noticed that after they fly of to attack, when they return they just hover above the airpad, this doesn;t happen always and to all of the aircrafts, as you can see one of them landed but the rest are just hovering ? ...
I can't find anything wrong with the code, but that's just me, i could be wrong, like always :d

Looks like either a bib, and/or DockingOffset issue. Usually inacurate DockingOffsets will encure that issue sometimes. _________________

I misread, so I apologize for that. However, I can no longer help as I see no issue in the structure code...
@Cranium: The screenshot should have told you that DockingOffsets are not an issue as the other Soviet Airpad has all 4 Harriers landed and in proper place. QUICK_EDIT

Dosent matter, inaccurate offsets will make planes not land on the pad sometimes. I know, I've delt with it before. And besides, I didnt say IT was the problem, I said it looked like it maybe the problem. I'm just giving him some direction to look in. _________________

Did you add Dock=GAAIRC,AMRADR,NAPAD,CAAIRP on your harrier? Maybe that's why they didn't work.
no, i had only GAAIRC,AMRADR and NAPAD ...
@Cranium. Sometimes, after hovering for ages, the planes land, but one on top of eachother, in the middle of the air pad, not on those tiny landing zones. QUICK_EDIT
Is that waht you named that new airpad caairp? and have you tried it after adding caairp to the Dock= _________________
