Tiberium Uprising (mission)
Subject description: That's right.
Hey guys this is my first attempt at a campaign that might actually make something of itself. I'm only going to release this first mission and take the
constructive criticism needed. I've got the second one in progress already (you may find some info about it in these files) and I have to say this was fun to make.
It's been a while since campaigns (or even missions) have been released and I'm going to come back with that. Well then here's some screenshots to give you glimpse. It's not extremely detailed and I'm welcome to the constructive criticism
This replaces the original GDI campaign but don't worry it's still set to go to the map selection screen and straight to "Secure the Region".

The terrain seems rather empty or bland at places. Although Tiberian Sun doesn't offer much, try to use different LATs, slopes, rocks and trees to make it more exciting.
In my opinion, it would fit GDI better if the reply from the lost patrol don't address the commander directly. For example; "Look! Friendly forces! Let's join them." or "Hey, over here! It's about time reinforcements show up."
What if after making contact with the patrol, they reveal the player the location of some of the Nod troops?
The green lighting seems a little too strong at the Tiberium fields. You could reduce the glow a bit.
It looks a bit silly that you can only produce light infantry, no grenadiers or anything. Sure, the situation was the same in the original, first GDI mission in TS, but the map was also a lot smaller.
As for the warning about the veins, how about: "These veins are a danger to vehicles and structures. Fortunatelly, they are harmless to light-weight units such as infantry." and if you want to further explain it, "Use them to attack and kill the monster at the center of the vein field."
Thanks for the feedback Crimsonum. All of your ideas actually worked well.
- I've added more trees, more varied LAT, some more slopes.
- The soldiers say they are glad to find a patrol and have them join.
- Since the patrol is on a cliff and the base is to the east below the cliff, the patrol says they found the base from where they are. Then you get a few views (reveal waypoint).
- Glow is reduced, not the in red light since that wasn't bad.
- Player is still TechLevel 1 but Disc Throwers are too since vehicles seem a little much for the first mission. They just get some buggies and a few Tick Tanks but it's not bad.
- Vein warning changed up a bit.
And some of my own changes.
- A slope bug has been fixed.
- A few more units added and other changes related to the ones above.
Come to think of it I think the bottom that screenshot is plain. I was thinking the red glow could be reduced just a tiny bit. And I knew something was missing ; this map has absolutely no rocks.
Thanks for the comments. Check out the campaign's thread and like Ixith did for me check out his newest release Peresco Terra in the map archive. It's a nice map.
This is probably the final planned release and here's a screenshot. Compare to the other two.

Perhaps I could add a few more details. Not too many though because I caused a slope error with the veinhole while adding some grass.
