Myself, I'm contracted into the USAF, so I already took the oath, though I won't enter active duty until I graduate in 2013.
When I do I'll be a 2nd Lt, looking at a career as a pilot or RPA pilot.

Sounds like an honourable career, TB. Good luck on that.

Even though the army service I went through was merely a scratch compared to the crevice a war can leave on a man, during the cold, dark hours in winter, I could feel/picture the horrible conditions our countrymen were during Winter and Continuation Wars (offshoots of WWII). Personally I hate the military, not because ours was any different, but because I'm truly afraid of going into a war. One could argue whether it's "better" to be fighting in a hot desert (I'm aware the temperatures drop during nights) than a cold winter landscape.
