Recently, there have been a lot of discussion around regarding low-carbohydrate diet. I've observed it becoming more and more a style of fashion in recent months. It's absurd!

Basically you reduce the amount of pasta, bread and potate products you consume, and replace them with meat, poultry and fish. Why refuse eating bread and potatoes, edibles that man discovered healthy thousands of years ago? People who need to lose weight, get the ztype out! And I mean literally.

In my opinion this diet has a lot more disadvantages than benefits. Discuss.

Losing weight comes down to losing enough calories vs the amount you take in. However, the theory is that if you don't each a lot of carbohydrates, your body will burn off fat, as it burns fuels in the sequence of carbohydrates, fats, and finally protein. So the theory that you eat a lot of low fat meat and little to no carbohydrates you will lose BMI (but not necessarily weight.) With an exercise program I imagine you could indeed get healthy, but the pitfall is going back to eating high calorie carbs and gaining it all back.

All diets are fads. No diets work. Diets make people worse off. These are facts. There's no magic bullet to weight loss. Eat less and get up off your ass. That's pretty much all it takes.

A true diet is a lifetime commitment to eat a certain way. Indeed, these "lose weight quick" diets are nothing more than fads. Only healthy eating and exercise is guaranteed to make you lose weight.

Strangely enough, I quit eating so goddamn much and I'm losing weight without getting up off my ass. I'm a wizard.

Exercise is key, i can not stress that enough. When i was weight lifting, i did a good balance of cardio and compound exercises.

Even still, i was in top shape (still now actually), and still going out and partying 4 days a week!

Indeed. Building muscle mass will cause your body to consume more calories while idle, and will improve your overall health tenfold.
