I'm trying to change the tiberium to ore but I'm having some problems. When I start TS it gives me an internal error, then I checked FinalSun and it appeared as some weird text (0x70)

This is what I did to change it:

1. Convert the RA2 ore files to .bmp and resize to 48x48 (TS size)

2. Import images in SHP builder as TS temperate building (This is the correct one, since tiberium uses temperate.pal right?)

3. Save them as tib01-20.tem and put in expand02.mix

DO NOT USE 01, that is used by the firestorm expansion pack!

lol, I seriously misread the mix tutorial. Anyway, thanks, it works just fine now. I don't have Firestorm #Tongue

Now that I have the ore sorted out... The blue tiberium now looks like regular ore, you can't tell them apart! I know there are 20 .tem files, but which ones apply for the blue tiberium? I need to replace those with gems.

Tiberium SHPs are remapable.. the colour is controlled in rules.ini under [Tiberiums].

For some reason (probably a quick hack) all different kinds of tiberium use another image file though they all look the same. Blue Tiberium is TIB2_xx AFAIK.

I know it's remapable, but the ore doesn't have any remapable areas...

There is no tib2_xx, just tib01-20.tem

Lol yes i was way wrong, or at least partially. Let me explain:

The game supports three tiberium types.
These are devided into 20 different overlay entries so the game can randomize the looks of them. So we have TIB01, TIB02 etc (Riparius)
TIB2_01, TIB2_02 etc (Vinifera)
TIB3_01, TIB3_02 etc (Aboreus)

All 3 types use the same image for every entry, so the only difference to the tiberiums is their colour which is applied to the remapable parts of the image.

If you wanna use a new image, say for Vinifera (TIB2_01, TIB2_02 etc) you'll have to add your ore image to the Image=tag of all the TIB2 overlay entries, and make sure the SHP has 20 frames (i think) just like the normal Tiberium SHP has.

I have no idea in hell what kind of palette the gems (btibxx.tem) use in the RA2 mix... I have tried seemingly every one in XCC mixer but they all look wrong.

For RA2's TIB01 through TIB20, they look fine to me in the temperate.pal and snow.pal.

btib is unused in RA2/YR

gem is the gems in RA2/YR.

gem and tib use temperate.pal, snow.pal, etc.

You can always convert them to look right in the palette that TS uses.
