This is it folks the last of the British units! Well there is still the infantry to do but that's a whole other sub-project etc...















Next on the todo list is the British sidebar, I'm still brainstorming on a design tho so not sure when it will be done, so might work on some other stuff first.

Got lots of ideas for the Japs rambling round my head, bounty based economy, multipathed tech tree (IJA & IJN) & several ways of implementing some sort of stealth gen system. Over all I'm thinking something like jungle GLA etc.

Any plans on doing a pearl harbor type mission with the Japs and USA. I think that would be cool. and then like it happened at the beginning have many jap planes come in and start destroying stuff and to win the mission you need to devise a plan and drop the bomb on hiroshima.

Could also be something like, depending on your actions, the US drop the bombs or invade Japan (meaning an additional final allied mission if the bombs are not dropped). For example, in one of the last missions, if you succesfully beat the Japanese in a certain time and with little losses, the US approach Japan much earlier than expected, and resolve to invade the mainland. There could even be a side-objective that requires you to recon the mainland defenses, and as the japanese barely had any (or so I've heard), this would affect the decision of invasion (presuming the recon is succesful).

Just shame that alternate map selection logic is totally broken in YR and global variables in general are not properly carried over in saved files. Latter is fixed in NPatch but neither of them are available in Ares (Which D-Day is using now AFAIK), and probably won't be for a good while. So without those any user-made choices would have to take effect during the same mission they are triggered in.

Cool stuff though, especially liking the shipyard design.

That's like the entirety of the US war effort in one mission #Tongue I think it could be fun to destroy Pearl harbor, have objectives that need to be destroyed.

Anyway, this mod is absolutely terrific! Can't wait.
