Played the open beta, and only wanted to get KV with KV-2 turret. After seeing how long that would take me, and after a stats wipe because it was still beta, I dropped it. It just confirmed for me that I will never like MMO's... QUICK_EDIT

OMG INTERNET TANKS! Yes sir I love me some internet tanks. Before I splurge a 55 page list of recommendations, I'll just offer this list of my personal favorites:

Clans are not going to let you in, unless you have 8 to 10 tiered tank, gold for gold ammo, and premium (so you can keep the high tier tanks in constant state of repair/resupply).

Speaking as a member of one of the dominant NA clans, that isn't quite true.
Depending on the land your clan holds, you will be paid for gold ammo; premium is not important so long as you can maintain the credits to run your tanks- which is quite easy with Tier 5 tanks (excepting Tier 5 lights).
I've also never run into a clan that makes admission/play contingent on gold ammo, except for clans that can guarantee you have it (IE they pay you)

There are clan battles that are not limited to tier X's? I am rather surprised, EVA, I haven't even ran across a MENTION of those. Then again, I haven't played in a while or have taken much interest in clans. Oh well. _________________ DUNK! QUICK_EDIT

I never said that. Clan Wars is about bringing what is most effective for the map; there is no logic in bringing lower tier tanks unless your opponents have pre-arranged a low tier battle- two clans recently arranged a Tier 5 only battle on the NA server.
Clan Wars is meant to be end-game content for people with end-tier tanks.
