I'm trying to do that with some infantry, but if I build the upgrade before the barracks, it doesn't work.

Let's see. I have read the other topic but no one talks about my particular case. I don't want to make subfactions but classes. So you have to build a structure that you can upgrade by one of the classes upgrades. Then, both classes have different buildings and units, some of them buildable for both classes.
How can I do that?

In that topic they say upgrades as prerequisites only work if you build the upgradeable structure and then the upgrade. Well, I do it, then I build the barracks and I have no infantry to train.
Wait, but did they say that the upgrade as prerequisite just works once?

You know, people will be less inclines to respond when you double triple quadruple post. You can edit your last one, and just say EDIT: blah blah

If you have a question, it helps to post the code you used. It also helps to have a clear direction when you post, so people can follow along and help you better.

I know it can be frustrating trying to figure things out when you're modding, but you need to do your best to work things out on your own before asking the questions. People won't want to help someone if it feels like they're talking to a wall.

Using upgrades as prerequisites is very buggy & only works in very specific circumstances, so basically don't bother...
