I've got a soft spot for the British miniseries called Ultraviolet, which took vampire killing to its logical conclusion.

To be perfectly honest; I couldn't care less about the original vampire movies such as Dracula and Nosferatu. The Buffy/Angel series were amusing though (watched it quite a few years ago) and Underworld is indeed good (a new Underworld movie is going to come out in the spring of 2012 apparently).
Also, the only Ultraviolet I know is that vampire movie with Milla Jovovich; which wasn't bad, although it doesn't sound like it is what Orac is talking about.

That had nothing to do with Vampires.... I'm pretty sure that was about a post-apocalyptic Utopian society that cloned people.

Although I couldn't give a fuck, because Milla Jovavich is sexy beyond words. I would SO put it in her butt. #Tongue

It's about some disease called HGV, which spreads via blood (you can get infected by simply getting the blood on your skin) and the disease turns people vampire-like. Although I don't remember any of them sucking blood from people's necks, they do have the teeth; only Milla Jovovich didn't have the teeth because she was physically modified for an infiltration mission at the beginning of the movie.

I never understood the appeal of vampires. I prefer the werewolves from 'Dog Soldiers', 'Underworld', and others in that vein. At least when they get done killing people they can go do human things during the day... like go to the beach...

Oh, and not to forget they can have sex. Because they're not DEAD and have a beating heart.
