It's been nearly 2 years already, but it's here.

You can view the Change Log to see all changes that have been made since DTA 1.10, or you can of course just download the mod and find out for yourself Wink

Game keeps crashing while playing the campaign randomly every 5 mins or so, I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, the affinity of dta.dat is set to one CPU.

Wow the confirmation code CAPTCHA bullshit for this board is retarded, I have to try 20 times before I got it right.

Infantry aren't able to enter APCs, Chinooks work fine.

I don't know how to beat Under Siege II, I get attacked by 4 Stealth Tanks and a group of Flame and Light Tanks as soon as the mission starts.

I'm aware of the issue where infantry can't enter transport vehicles; it usually does work when you move the transport vehicle onto a different ground type (it always seems to work on roads for one). I'm unsure about what actually causes it, since it doesn't seem to happen on all maps. I'll look into it some more soon though.

Also, Under Siege II is tricky, just like the original version of that mission (Under Siege "1" in TD's covert operations). At the start of the game you should sell all a bunch of buildings for credits so you can produce units and later on you can capture another refinery.

This happens during the first mission? The last time I played it, it worked perfectly fine.
Also, you mentioned dta.dat's affinity; if you're using core affinity yourself, maybe that's the cause. DTA's launcher already sets the affinity of dta.dat to one CPU, so if you're also using a separate core-affinity tool yourself, it could possibly cause some sort of conflict.

I checked the affinity and it was already set to one yes, by the launcher. I just played a bunch of skirmish games the last 2 hours and I haven't had a crash in skirmish, while I experienced 6 crashes in the single player mission.

edit: Good job on the release btw

I just played that mission for a while (until my commander randomly got killed somehow offscreen and the mission failed) and I didn't get an IE... So I have no idea why it crashes for you :/

Could you upload the Except.txt from DTA's folder here? I've personally played through the mission like half a dozen times without any crashes.

There is no except.txt in the folder and for some reason it stopped crashing, I just completed the whole campaign.

Is it an Internal Error, or windows telling you that the game crashed?

A window telling me the game crashed and that the application stopped responding.

"crashed" and "stopped responding" are two entirely different things. One is an actual crash, the second is a game freeze.

The first public update (version 1.11001) was uploaded today. Changelog: http://dta.cncxs.com/changelog/latest

The update is obtainable by using the Launcher's update feature similarly to all future updates.

Out of curiosity, have you removed the Survival maps? I can't seem to find any when I play the game.

Yes. During the years we haven't really seen people getting interested about Survivor maps, so they had to go.. however, they'll be replaced with something better in the future Wink

Damn, I loved them...

Is it still possible to recreate them?

Yes, since (AFAIK) all of those were done with simply editing the maps. If you have some modding experience, creating survivor maps for 1.11 should be pretty easy.

I know how, I've done it once before. In hindsight, that was a stupid question to ask.

Thanks though, I appreciate it.

I've played a bunch of games with random people on CnCNet today and it worked perfectly fine with them.
Maybe something went wrong with the update; try reinstalling.

Congratulations! Must be the first TS mod (of this caliber) to reach a final release in years? Will check it out once I have cleared up some time.

Sounds like a similar random issue that ChronoSeth is having. We don't know what causes that though.

At Iran: Do vanilla TS or other TS mods work for you?

And the Launcher makes it possible to make this "final release" better at any time.

We've also got a pretty nice audience at CnCNet (13 is the highest amount of players online at the same time so far): http://cncnet.org/statistics

In ChronoSeth's case I'm actually suspecting the core affinity setting might be the cause, since his CPU only has a singe core to begin with.
In this case trying to run a couple games offline without the launcher (without the launcher, so that core affinity won't be set) could be helpful.

If it turns out core affinity really is the issue, possibly an option to disable it could be added to the launcher.

It can't really be since I can't make the process to not run on the only execution core (or if I could, the process wouldn't run at all). Since he has a Pentium IV, I wonder if disabling HyperThreading would help.
