Command & Conquer 3: leaked too early.
For those who had time to see that piece of art from C&C 3, the picture is real. It has been confirmed by both Louis Castle (EALA Vice President) and Adam Isgreen (EALA Game Design Director). The picture was wrongly placed in the EALA's TV Rotation during the BfMe Community Day event. So, EA asked Planet CnC to remove the picture. Since, I just got a clone from their picture here, I am also removing it.
If you wonder which unit was the one in the center of the picture, according to Adam, it was called Scrin Primal. In that picture, a Scrin base was being attacked by GDI, however, Scrin was winning that battle. The picture was made one year ago.
Adam's message was quite interesting:
"Yo,
Guys, Petroglyph doesn't have the rights to C&C. EA owns the C&C brand. The Petro guys are doing their own stuff.
What Mark said is true. What you saw was a concept / inspirational piece of art that we did over a year ago that displays on our internal EA monitors here at EALA. Concept art is our "What if?" avenue to explore things we may or may not want to do in the future with game content, a certain look, or atmosphere / tone.
FYI, it's an image of a Scrin Primal defending against a GDI attack on a Scrin base. Obviously, the primal is winning. =)
And yes, there are still a bunch of us ex-westwood guys here.

Adam Isgreen
Game Design Director
EALA"
Another interesting message about this matter comes from DeeZire, who was in the event:
"I spent a totally cool weekend hanging with the guys at EALA - amongst a lot of other things, I got to play the pre-alpha of LOTR:BFME so to that end I'll be doing a new section on the site dedicated to that game.
Why LOTR:BFME? Well because (i) it just totally frickin rocks, even at this early stage, and (ii) because it uses SAGE and editing it will be the same as Generals and Zero Hour - so that will tie up the editing community nicely until another C&C comes along - oops, did I say that? Nah..."
This certainly makes me believe the game is real, it exists, but it's not their main focus at the moment. The stuff at Planet CnC already bypassed 270 replies and I'm still reading every single post... I hope to have more details to post later here, for those who are lazy to read or skip the good parts... My tip is to pay attention to the Board Guest 1821581 (Adam Isgreen), since he has official words from EALA. Last edited by Banshee on Tue Jun 22, 2004 5:02 am; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
