Ok, so I spiced things up a wee bit with tracers for MG weapons. Works well with vehicles, structures/occupied structures but infantry will only fire a random number of shots only. Tried looking up a tag responsible for this but nothing. I copied the particle system for tracers from Holy_Master's ROS mod. Nothing wrong with the infantry in that mod though...

You can't fire a particlesystemed weapon if the previous particles are still alive.

The tag is MaxEC.

Tried messing with MaxEC=, ROT= and Speed=. Still can't get it right Sad

Not ROT.

You have to decrease MaxEC to as small as possible... and increase ROF if it's still not enough. If not ROF, then Speed should be increased, since that makes the projectile faster to hit ground, thereby shorten it's life further.

You can't refire 'til the particles are alive, so what you have to do is to decrease their life. And if you're planning to use this with garrisoned, then give up, because garrisons are tend to fire more weapons at the same time (the occupiers') and those remnant particles kill the garrison's firing ability.

Check this video. Those machinegunner drones have a varied ROF just because of this.

The MaxEC= can't be lowered further or it ruins the effect since I tweaked the one used in ROS!

Your issue is likely using two weapons with IsRailgun=true on same unit and firing issues begin happen so only one weapon in an unit may use IsRailgun=true, just use UseSparkParticles=yes if you need to define separate AA weapon in infantry etc and sitll use tracer effect.
