Some community news!
Some interesting stuff happened recently and I didn't cover it properly. So, here it is:
-> Freedom Studios launchs: Fenring finally launchs his new network, Freedom Studios, with several new mods and sites about several games including one that develops its own game. But of course, the type of game most covered there is nothing else than Command & Conquer games, so you should check it out . With it, there are 3 interesting mods to pay attention:
-> YR Chaos - from Fenring for Yuri's Revenge
-> Revolution: La Resistance - from Daedalue for Yuri's Revenge
-> Hyrule: The Improsining War - from Tiberian Moon, for Zero Hour... the first ZH mod that covers Zelda: Link To Past game.
-> IcySon releases a Voxel Creation System to help to speed up voxel creation: Have you already played with Lego in your life? Although the pieces were limited, it was good enough to build several stuff with it. I'm gonna be honest, I used to be more efficient with lego than I am with GMAX. So, IcySon shows the simple technic of building voxels with lego parts, with a difference: in the virtual world, lego pieces are unlimited . Got interested? Check Battle Tech: Fire On The Horizon site, head to the downloads and download this Voxel Creation System and help yourself.
-> About 130 new screenshots and one new UK promo video at Call To Arms: They decided to make a party there and they released about 130 screenshots. I must admit that even when I got Zero Hour before the game was released on USA, I've never thought about doing so much screenshots about it (we have 90 zh screenshots here). But I'm sure that this gives you a great oportunity to know a bit of the mod before the release of its final version and prepare your tactics . Check it out.
-> Starcraft: Xel'naga Vengeance "Terran Demo" Beta LAN v0.1 released: One of the best mods for Zero Hour, which brings all the Starcraft world to the 3D sage engine is out for LAN/Online testing. This version brings two factions of the Terran (Rebellion and Dominion), however, no AI. It's an 80mb package which includes soundtrack and videos. It's really worth your fun if you have over 1 zero hour copy at your home lan. QUICK_EDIT
