Subject description: i need really help

hello iam playing the mod crystallized doom!!!i noticed there is no drop pod special weapon for gdi only a lame spyplane...what must i do to get the droppods back can somebody help me?

Open the rules.ini from the mod
Open the rules.ini from firestorm
compare both
change the DropPodSpecial from the mod back into the one from firestorm Wink

hmm no..i changed everthing like it is in the normal rules.ini but still the lame spyplane

i got it.... almost everthing is fine except there is no fly animation but when it hits the ground suddenly the pods appear where can i change this
i found the AtmosphereEntry animation its podring but where is the fly animation?

and where can i change what type of infantry come out of the pods?

sorry for my bad english iam german Smile

ok now i can see the dropgun shooting animation in the air but the pods still are invincible...i dont know what to do Sad

I guess the mod replaced the image of the droppod. Look into the ecache/expand mixes if you can find another, blank, image for this animation (note that expand01 is a firestorm mix and shouldn't never be touched)
The Infantry which comes out of the pod is hardcoded. There are two ways to change them - one complicated and the other way just a lot of work. The first option is to hack the exe, searching for the droppod and change the Units there (here's somewhere a tutorial floating on how it is done), the second is, to change E1 and E2 - for this to work you have to change the AI Triggers, too, or they sent the wrong units Very Happy

is it droppod and droppod2? if yes its the normal droppod animation but i still cant get it to work maybe when i show you my rules.ini you can say what iam doin wrong?

I don't know the name of the animation, though. . .

ah ich sehs grade du kannst deutsch hm ich verstehs einfach nich!! alles klappt,die podring animation die schussanimation von der waffe und am ende sind die pods ja auch am boden aber in der luft sind die unsichtbar Confused ich muss nur wissen wo mann die kacke einstellen muss und was ich einstellen muss!!

Soweit ich weiß liegt es daran, dass die Animation fehlt, wo die Droppods vom Himmel 'fallen'. Die meisten Mods würden das entsprechende .shp mitliefern, dort jedoch alle Fraes entfernen, also, eine leere Fläche lassen (oder mit einer anderen Animation ersetzen, die sie haben wollen).
Vielleicht gibt es aber auch in der Rules.ini bzw Art.ini einen Key, der die Animation regelt. Dort müsste man es wieder auf das alte Image umstellen . . .
Ich weiß das nicht so genau, ich habe mich nie drum gekümmert die Droppods zu ersetzen Very Happy

ja da is ne shp die heisst pod.shp das könnte die animation sein aber wo muss ich die einfügen das die auch gezeigt wird?

du musst die aus leere Animation löschen. Wenn keine andere Animation verfügbar ist (sei es über Ecahce.mix oder sogar Directory), dann wird die Ursprungsanimation ebnutzt. Und das ist ja die, die d haben willst Wink

in einer mix datei, die die Mod mitgeliefert hat, müsste entweder eine leere Animation dabei sein, die den gleichen Namen hat wie die ursprüngliche Animation oder irgendwo in der Rules.ini/Art.ini wurde ein key geändert, wodurch er auf eine leere Animation verweist
