Why is the base lower on one side than the other? Each of the big yellowish supports is smaller than the previous one... it makes no sense.

You do realize the base is turned off-center right? by maybe 20 degrees clockwise...

But yeah that's the original terrorist logic. It ended up not being feasible coding-wise. It was originally going to be a spy-like unit, that when infiltrating a building would detonate, rather than spy it. So you could send 4 terrorists into a building and blow it to hell. I'm still looking for a way to do that, because it'd be awesome.


One possible workaround I assume would be letting have the weapon as a deployer. I've been planning this on my own mod but haven't truly tested it out.

The Refinery looks great, although the Gold Railings seem a bit off for me. Either way sounds great to have more progress. Very Happy

Found a easy work around on the Terrorist.

You could either:

A) Give it a secondary Suicide Weapon with the Warhead being only able to target Buildings. (Refer to Chrono Commando's FakeC4 Weapon)


or...

B) Use the DeployerLogic..., and set the cloned weapon as a Secondary Weapon.

Code:
[TerrorBombSuicide]
Projectile=Invisible
Damage=225
Warhead=TerrorBombWH
Anim=RING1
Range=1.5
ROF=10
Suicide=yes
FireInTransport=no;can't fire out of the BattleFortress
AreaFire=yes


A Flaw on the 2nd one is that you have to make the Terrorist Force Fire to disguise now.

I'm using the 2nd Workaround as it provides you more control and the Terrorist can be used for not just taking out enemy buildings.

although there is no snow on top of the silo door, like in the pre-released (and as there prob should be for snow theater)
im guessing this is due to it being WIP tho?

We'll have a rotation animation.

Westwood originally had one. It's even referenced in the Art.ini files. But they forgot to put it in the mix files and never noticed, apparently. Or noticed when it was already too late. Or just decided not to use it.

Nope! They're a waste of time - and pretty much impossible, as the art style is different from ours. It'd take hours, days of editing to make them look *decent,* and we're perfectionists.

This was my own edit, it seemed to be in the default red and in the Tiberian Sun Cameo Palette. My mod is making all the allies blue including their cameos...

This is the raw one, Its called "agapgen"

I've also found that originally the Giant Squid had more graphics in it.

The "Shadow" which was similar to the other Parasite Units Pounce Image

And an unused Water Wake for the Giant Squid which was played when it was pouncing along with the "Shadow" or was played when it was tentacle raping.

As well as the other 7 Tentacle Grab. All these being in the Tiberian Sun Anim Palette, save for the Water Wake.

Yeah they've been done before, the Light Tank has been on YRArg for like 8 years. Pretty sure the Corkscrew is also in a 6 year old PreRA2 beta I still have lying around. Would love to see an actually remake of that shot though, when you're at that stage.

All the old voxels have been remade fully. By myself and a few others who have contributed. I don't use any public assets.

We will remake that screenshot. I can't promise when.

And that startup logo? I have the full startup intro video with the tanks/v3's rolling, and there are some cool differences. So yeah, it's going to be pretty badass.

I pretty much know of everything people have mentioned, but I really appreciate the ideas and discussion! I'm so glad to see such interest.

Work is moving along, but very slowly due to some obligations in my life that come first...

quick question

You are restoring the beta Soviet Tech Center (hopefully a fixed one from Blades which had part of the Snow terrain cropped into the building)

But you also show in this topic a restored Beta Soviet Battle Lab

So will Soviets have both beta Soviet Tech Centre and Battle Lab or will it be dependant the the soviet side u are (Russians get battle lab and Ukraine get Tech Centre) or something else?

I think the battle lab/ tech centre from the old alpha/beta snow screenshot looks better than the underground battle lab.

I also thought that the Underground battle lab was just a screenshot of the final soviet battle lab mid buildup... but i'm probably wrong

Why hasn't anybody ever tried doing it in the scheme of Soviets? Yeah the glassiness is what keeps making it look too Allied though. But with some Soviet Colors in some sections it'd look more in theme to the Soviets if done properly.

It's not that. Even if you re-scheme it which will make no sense (A box of bricks on a gigantic shaft?), it still resembles the Allied battle lab far too much which fucks with aesthetics. If theres a beta Allied lab then the other lab might not look retarded.

Someone stole my macbook pro. Meaning all my work in progress stuff that I never sent to Dasfonia is gone. AKA, mod's been kicked back a few months, which sucks because we were honestly on our way to a summer release.

I didn't do any work on that, that's all him. I'm not really focusing on small SHPs like that, I do the big projects.
