I wonder why it's being sold for only $450. It's not a bad deal if it works, but something almost has to be wrong with it to be that cheap. Also, I'd get a better power supply for it. 300 is a bit weak.

I'd say if you're serious, demand to be shown that the thing works without errors.

[EDIT] If you give me a budget and a scope of the requirements and projected needs, I can put something good together. It would be better than that Gateway.

I would not buy it, even just for the PSU, 300W is NOT GOOOD!!! More like terrible and not surprised it houses RADEON card, was it NVIDIA..the PC would just die with such pathetic PSU or just run poorly.

300W is like for office work PC... not gaming PC or hard rendering, maybe if you replace the PSU for atleast 450W minimum or higher PSU.

If idea is to have PC that lasts fair performance for years there is surely a better option available and frankly I laugh at every idiot that buys 300W PSU computer, this is common if you buy from supermarket or whatever that they always got such lousy shit PSU.

You can get a decent 500 watt PSU for $60 so it's not like it would break the bank to buy a new one and replace it. Sometimes it's easier and more cost effective to buy a cheap PC then just upgrade it a bit.

Also, keep in mind that there's nothing wrong with Radeon cards. In fact, being an AMD-based board, a Radeon would probably work better than an nVidia counterpart.

That PSU is weak (and I wouldn't rely on it, not even the brand etc. is mentioned), otherwise it could be good depending on what you'd use it for. That 6-core Phenom II is suited best for heavily multithreaded (productivity) operations, for basic office use there would be better (at least more inexpensive) options available. Also, the (integrated?) Radeon HD 4250 isn't going to run any modern games smoothly if you're looking for gaming.

well I was mainly looking at the Phenom II six core processor, but if you guys think its not worth it, then I'll pass. I mean if I have to buy a PSU and better graphics card also, then I guess its really not worth it. Thanks guys. I'll keep looking.

@Fen, I have 500 I'm willing to spend, but I need something thats going to be good for modeling and gaming type stuff. I'm just tired of this old P4/ Dual core XP crap anymore.

Five hundred. That puts a damper on things so how much do you have already? Do you have an OS at the very least? If you have that, I can run with $500.

300w, the onboard sound card and the Radeon card are very weak for gaming. And the motherboard wasn't revealed, probably because it is crap.Considering that you won't be able to open it in the first years to not void the guarantee, I think you might be able to find better machines for a similar price.
