Just finishing up some terrain stuff...Don't know if any one noticed, but the 4 lane road is not proper scale so I made one. It is actually 4 cells wide. As you can see in the pic most vehicles are 1 cell wide.

Thoughts on this?

Pretty nice road, clearer than original road, and wider.

well, it goes alone with the 2 lane roads I made a bit ago ( seen in pic). Once again the 2 lane roads were not to scale either, so I remade them.

grain? are you referring to the asphalt? If you are it just a copy section of the original road with uvw mapping applied to it. There is no noise or other modifiers applied to it...start? after a long enough time I am just about finished with my roads...Hoping to have a few product for viewing real soon

The original wasn't that good TBH, would look better with a dark grey instead of black IMO.

That's muuuch better. Also, you need to double the length and space betwen your lane divider lines. There should only be about two per cell.

If I do that it throws of scale. I figured it out and a cell is roughly 9 ft by 9 ft. you dont think thats too dark? I also did this one. I have to darken the center a bit to show high traffic areas

The darker roads are better, the lighter ones seem too smooth, like there was no texture. For old (i.e. countryside) roads, the lighter texture is more fitting, though.

I'd like to see some TS-style roads.

Right now the color of the surface isn't important, Crimsonum you make a point. I have been trying to learn how to use Viewport Canvas to use a suggestion I had received sometime ago to make the surface.

Near the curbs would be brighter and the center area where traffic would be darker to resemble more realistic roads. Since you made the comment (Crimsonum) I'm planning to make this for country roads with some smudges to show some usage.

Thanks folks
