So i've just noticed and remembered that animations can use report... i've tried adding an entry for oregath.shp in the artmd.ini and added it into the animations list in rulesmd.ini as well. But it doesn't accept the report at all though... anybody also tried this as well?

You noticed how oregath.shp does not even have art entry in original art(md).ini. Additionally it isn't listed on [Animations] list either. There you have your answer - it is not, for all intents and purposes, an animation in the same way as the standard explosions etc. are. Probably because of the special direction-specific frame drawing stuff it needs.

Afraid you're out of luck here.
