is it possible? if i use new faction, then i need a new mcv? can it be done like in ra3?

Observer is possible only in MP games.

Best you can use is a cloaked MCV. which you don't deploy.

Tho yeah, D committed a disabled code into an Ares pre-0.3 branch which allows and I am thinking about enabling it to main 0.3... we'll see.

I could have sworn this was possible with Ares already with the "debug" controls, switching you to automatic AI control. Am I wrong?

all i can do now is, i added a buildable invisible, untargetable, unattackable building to the allies and set it to AiBuildThis=no so i an still "observe" without making the allies imbalance.
