Hungary for more?
After the release of the D-day beta I planned to take a break, relax & do nothing for a while...
Instead I ended up adding a whole new side to D-day, Hungary!
Hungary might sound like a strange choice for a new side but when compeared to Italy & Japan their ground forces are just as good or often better, some are even a match for their German counterparts. Hungary's major downfall tho is that being a land locked country their naval forces are made from river gunboats, so don't expect much.
Other than their buildings, most of their units are finished so they will be included in the next beta. See the new Hungarian page on the D-day site for more information. _________________

MY GOD, MY COUNTRY IS IN D-DAY, WE R DA BEST. Especially considering our history within WW2... I don't even see a reason why should we be in, but OK.
EDIT: BTW, how much you care about accents? Mine is better, considering Britain is one of the main ones.
You should make the MCV a big Rubix cube which they have to solve in order for it to deploy into a conyard.
You should add Finland next and make them the most overpowered faction in the game and add this guy as their hero unit and make him permanently cloaked and snipe everyone across the entire map.

I would have to agree with that, if we wouldn't be the best facepalm people in 1943, with declaring war on everybody and with the fresh PM thought we even can win them. He was so over his head.

The accents depend on if I c&p the name from the source material I was using or if I wrote them myself, I have no idea how to add them with my UK keyboard XP

Shut up hellodave please, D-Day is serious mod for most part, not fan wank as much as I root for my country and as for the success had, its a lot to do with terrain and tactics and portraying such well in RA2 engine is kinda no can do.
Admittedly, there is reason for lot of praise like
Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, Order of the day, July 11, 1943: "Where a Finnish SS-man stood, enemy was always defeated."
Felix Steiner, commander of the Panzer Division Wiking: "My Führer, where Finns stand, there stand our best soldiers!"
So yeah sure infantry wise did well and we sure had few fighter aces, coast gun batterys, some tanks but thats hardly close to overpowered potential unless idea is to win with superior infantry spam xD QUICK_EDIT

Yea, and this also doubt why we are in at all.
I mean, most of the D-Day stuff was only built as a prototype or not even got there at all, and we only used imported stuff... if we could get it at all.

Well Sweden is about the only country left that could possibly be added to D-day but they weren't involved in any of the fighting...
I'm using Ares & each side is coded completely separately from each other, no cleaver tricks or workarounds just pages & pages of code XP _________________
1. The loadscreen - it's kinda awkward to see the Kreuz on the Hungarian loadscreen, don't you think?
2. How will the other 4 sides* act in the mod? Will they be only crate-only units or will they be some subsides using other MCVs?... I mean, they used a lot of foreign weapons so I suppose that it'd be pretty hard for a country such as, let's say, Romania who was on 2 sides (Axis/Allies), or Poland (which was nearly on all 3). Or maybe you'll make some sort of neutral side with each of these 4 countries as subfactions?
*The other 4 being Sweden, Holland, Romania and Poland. QUICK_EDIT
I was unable to find a picture of a Hungarian plane that was suitable for the loading screen so I use a German version. I plan to change it in the future once I find a replacement.
The "other" sides are crate only at the moment but will be available via tech buildings or as sub factions in the future. _________________
