Advanced Guard Tower
Subject description: Tiberian Dawn
Defensive series: 3 of 3.
This is an unwrap and texture that I did off a Black_Drakon model.
There will be a lot of idle movement for this defence (radar spinning etc), and the plan is to have all missile exhaust come from the rear grille (the rear lights will flash has a warning!).
There will also be a host of default flashing lights and some night lights as well.
Totally over the top and a complete contrast to the sombre Nod Obelisk.

Judging from the ladders and the guard rails, I think you've got the scale slightly wrong. Also, I don't think those sky-coloured panels were supposed to be missile pod hatches, just plain windows. The missiles would propably shoot out vertically from the top.

The ladder would probably not pass a health and safety check, I have scaled it down vertically (more steps).
The railing is just about half the height of the door. How it looks in some screen shots is a trick of perspective.
Where the TD advanced guard tower shoots from is one of those matter of opinion debates. I must say that I have never seen anyone do a top firing AGT, so this is another one to add to the list.
I had seen the set-up you see above and liked it, so decided to go with it.
I checked the in-game sprite and I believe it is possible.
I would not have had any interest in doing a top hatch firing version, but I would be interested in seeing someone else design a top firing AGT.
