On Ares 0.2, which might be closer than you think
Hello guys,
this is the final follow up post to all the "0.2 will be released soon" and "Release Candidate X is there" posts, because Ares 0.2 has just been released officially. The final build has been compiled on Friday. And it's available already. Yes, as we speak.
The latest Ares 0.2 does not show the red instability banner any more and does not have one of the long version names. That's actually not true, because it is version 12.258.1409, but 0.2 is shorter and easier to remember. The online documentation has been updated, too, and the Custom Foundation Generator and the prism Forwarding spread sheet are now included.
If you find bugs, please report. If they can easily be fixed, there will be a patch named 0.2p1. If not, we have something for Ares 0.3, which I'll be concentrating on now. More in the next few days.

Also huge house colored lasers still occurs.
His can be fixed with this tag
LaserThickness=1
And house colored Lasers will be fired at original weight. Maybe this does not need fix, just to mention somewhere that this tag should be put and everything is fine.

The last change I made was a performance improvement you might experience when lots of units are present. The other reported problems are either entire missing features or mere display problems. Starkku's base jam is under inspection, but I can't provide a new binary in the next few hours. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

I probably won't be an Ares user anytime soon, but who knows, maybe I'll get back to it one day to finally make that christmas mod I owe everybody. QUICK_EDIT
