Renegade Projects (recovered) INI flags and tutorials
Subject description: I downloaded HTML pages from there which includes all Art, Eva, sound, rules, UI (md) flags
Hello guys! Time for MasterHaosis to strike again!
(and be helpful)
I took some time to download (I presume) everything from renegadeprojects which includes Art/md, Rules/md, Eva/md, Sound/md, Ui/md and even tutorials.
Everything is packed in their respective separated folders so you can easy find what you need. Also all flags are in separate html document which means one flag, one page.
It all is big about 12 mb in .rar file, but because Banshee restricted attachments up to 8 mbs, I have to separate rars ( Banshee, ) in 4 folders.
So basically you have following attachments with folders:
ABCDEFG - Ini flags from A to G
HIJLNOP - Ini flags from H to P
RSTUVWXYZ - Ini flags from R to Z
Art-Eva-Sound-UI and tutorials - there are 5 folders inside with all respective html pages in each folder
So now, in case that renegadeprojects once got down, or data got lost from there somehow, or you for any reason cannot access internet (no connectivity, provider sucks, slow connections, bla bla bla) you will have ini flags in each moment in your hard drive.
This can be some kind of backup too.
1. Renegade Projects nor ModEnc is going down right now. You can read that from that notice at the top of the ModEnc site.
2. Database backups exist for a reason. This isn't a viable backup solution.
3. Your HTML files refer to online content, such as stylesheets. Guess what happens if you try to view these files while truly offline?
4. Most importantly, these become outdated very quickly, i.e as soon as new information is added to the wiki.
I hope you didn't spend too much time doing this manually. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Well, I fail here, because my damn English. I did not mean backup as site bckup, I meant as your backup because obviously I doubt that anyone apart from Renegade have at least any of flags in his computer.
That is meant to be temporary you know.

This happens,
I just turned off internet, and as you can see, you can still read without internet.

Most importantly, if you are without internet temporary but need to do something quickly, you do not care if informations are updated on site because obviously you wont see them. Here at least though not perfect way, you can still view and access something.

Well I could pack it all in text documents but it would be about 10 times more work than I already put. And I do not have that much free time.
No, I did not extract pages all manually, but I choosed them, packed and did all necessery thing which cost me about less than day. _________________ PPM Halloween Season 2021 QUICK_EDIT

Have to say, I'm with Starkku regarding this one. The idea is good, the result is bloated... and while it indeed is updated than Deezire's Guide, best way would be still to have that updated, because it was more noobfriendly than this ModEnc backup.
Besides, since ModEnc is still up, the whole point of the topic is moot. Not to mention there is Hyper's backup which AFAIK is more completed than this. QUICK_EDIT
