EVA-251's WIP Voxels
Subject description: there is a minor chance that this thread won't die within a week. Minor.
For a yet to be named project. Many of these are going to be remixes of RA2 voxels.
First one I'll post is the Rhino/Soviet Heavy tank. I based it off the stock RA2 voxel, as the concept art version is overused and looks too western in design.
This is the first WIP of it. Right now, I'm looking at making it a little darker and adding some more details to the sides, and reducing its height slightly, to make it more squat in appearance.

Stock RA2 (as displayed) is 0.2. And maps set it per elevation and base value overall.

Nah, the brightness looks pretty well inline with other soviet units.
As for weird normals, the turret has perhaps one or two. The rest of the unit is unexpectedly, unusually, well normalled. I assume he's using the TS range. QUICK_EDIT

I tried to follow the base color arrangement for Soviet units.
As for normals, I used AN 5.6, with RA2 range and base settings.
Flat surfaces were then made to look flat and stair-step issues were fixed, on the hull. Turret was mostly left untouched, besides making flat areas (turret roof, turret rear) look flat. _________________ YR modder/artist, DOOM mapper, aka evanb90

It died for more than a week. Damn. I tried.
Grizzly Tank. Went for the tried and true design, but modified the rear to allow for a larger engine compartment and more stable support for the suspension.
Overall I'm content with the shape, though the turret roof might benefit from extra details.

It looks like shit with the color cause he took the shot on Alamo and it's goofy lighting imo. It probably looks much better on a NORMAL RA2 map.
Shape is fine, colors are a bit monotone (though I don't know if anything can be done). Personally i'd drag the back between the treads out a little further, but this is C&C, so trying to figure out where the tank's ammunition would be is pointless. _________________ Victory! QUICK_EDIT
Try using at least Isle of War or Tour of Egypt for Screenshots since those seem to have no lighting tweaks.
