Command & Conquer (Free To Play) News!
Subject description: China will NOT grow larger.
Hey everyone! It's been a while since we haven't got some news about the upcoming Command & Conquer free to play platform here, although there was a community summit, a picture distributed on several C&C sites (while PPM was naturally ignored), among other things. But, today, a magazine from France called Canard PC has published some real information about the game. And the french community CnCSaga has done a good job on giving us the data (as well as CNCNZ.comHERE).
Anyway, here's what matters:
[3 Factions]
- Asian-Pacific Alliance (China has been renamed to prevent problems on that country, but it works in the same way like China with the well known cheap infantry, among other things)
- Global Liberation Army
- European Union (replacing USA)
[Design and Technical Info]
- Dynamically destructible buildings with interiors modelled (if HQ is taking a damage, you can see inside).
- Dynamic units' dialogues (like in Company of Heroes).
- Unfortunately, camera is still facing to the ground.
[Monetarisation]
- Generals unlockable by leveling up or paying.
- Possible purchasable cosmetic items.
- The devs say that they'll avoid pay to win. It's not clear what do they mean with that.
[Online Progress]
- The game is not an MMO (not persistent in the conflict), but has a progression system. This also means that you'll have to be online to play it.

So, this is basically C&C4 that has gotten expanded into what they wanted to have (C&C Arena).
Well, then.
And now to see if Russia once more has been ignored or have been shoehorned into China (or if they are original EU or less original, GLA). _________________ DUNK! QUICK_EDIT
So they can't use the name "China" because they're afraid of real-world China, but they do use the name "European Union"?

Germany just did it's stupid robot thing to the game. Goddamn Krauts. They need to stop being so politically correct. Media shouldn't be so policed because a bunch of 'em felt like sticking Jews in ovens and killing millions of people 70 years ago. The present generation didn't do it.
I hope EA is as stereotypical as they were in Gens though with the goofy voices. You'll notice that for this game the GLA isn't an Arab-oriented faction it seems. I just hope the Europeans and Chinese get the cheese on 'em at least. _________________ Victory! QUICK_EDIT
Canonically, China stopped calling themselve "China" by the end of ZH, preferring to call themselves the "Eurasian Unity League" instead after usurping control of Europe. Whether or not this will be referenced in the new game is left to be seen.
Oh and the game was also banned due to the obvious hypocritical potrayal of China being nuke and napalm happy, even though America, who were robot and lazer happy ingame, was one country to have ever used such weapons irl. _________________ The future belongs to The Forgotten! QUICK_EDIT

It's just a game, c'mon. No need to get angry at it. Look at Call of Duty games, we get to kill Russians, Chinese, Arabs, and other Americans. I'm just saying it in comparison to this game as we speak of countries in real world. _________________ Mod Leader and founder of World Domination
BTW, on all of screenshots all 3 factions have got the same remap color. Upgrades are in for sure, Marauder/Scorpion has rocket pads on turret + gas tanks on back.
GLA probably uses a truck for building construction. Chinese vehicles have similar scheme like in RL.

meh, it's not just that, it's our bureaucracy and politics who want to meddle with our education. they censor anything that is against the common sense of morale just to teach that these things don't exist, for our youth and whatsoever, they try to shield the citizens and specially children who get to play these games from any traumatizing or anti-morale inspirational content.
Thats the real stupid thing, dunno if you heard, a while ago our...(really stupid) family minister wanted to censor and ban any "child porn" stuff they could find in the net, in order to do that, they would have to ban thousants of IP's and secure the internet in an unlawful manner, aswell as espionaging innocent citizens and robbing their privacy just to "block sites" and hinder german people to get to these sites, nor any site affected by the blockade, which would have been more than just the initial blocked sites. and the government failed to see that, blocking child porn sites in germany wouldn't help any cause, it would just draw away attention even more than before.
You, see, we here live in a happy bunny world in germany, we don't see, we don't hear.
