Well the onion is the most noticeable but if you look closely at the air vents they are now two vertical stripes and the metal platform (or pavement) is more thin).

Well the pre war-factory was not that different from the final build yet it still looked better.

(snow buildup not worth it and not realistic either, considering it is built in two secs = too soon to get snow xD)

Snow Frame can be done by making the last 5 frames have the snow gradually appearing.

You can do this with Photoshop for example...

Select the entire building (Unselect the Buildup & parts which you should want no snow)

Paint the Snow in. Then start at 50% translucency, up until the last frame of the build up which shouuld have the snow at 100%.

Snow build-ups dont make sense since the building assembles for only a few seconds so....

Anywho gonna get to work on that snow frame.(Should be easy)

Errrmmm Thats how the Vanilla Snow Build Ups are... the last 5 Frames have the snow magically appearing.

This clearly proves that the vanilla build-ups are very cool but unrealistic, but i want realism so thats why im not going to make a snow build-up, so sorry.

Anyway this just took a click here is the snow frame.

Of course you should do a snow buildup, else it just jumps to the first snow frame which makes even less sense and looks bad (which is worse than being illogical).

As I said... the snow parts go from 60-70-80-90-100% Transparency so it looks like by the time it finishes building up the Building was under the effect of getting covered by snow.

You also said the only thing you tweaked were the vents and the dome. The dome being the only thing needing recoloring since the Remaps don't get covered up anyway.

Wow!

Surprised to read whats written in Noodles link!

But i think westwood did this to make look more "soviet-ish"

In the end its just a video game and i dont think the player will stare at this thing all the time.

@Volgin: Well i do want realism but not that much, and there is probably no idea for an shp with this dome removed.

I disagree that they did it to make it more 'Soviet-ish', it's orientalism pure and simple. Stereotypical Russian things used to represent the Soviet Union.

The intention I have no doubt was to improve recognisability of each faction's structures by giving them extremely different silhouettes (despite being reasonably similar in layout).  Even with only silhouettes to work with, you can easily tell the purpose and faction of the structure.

Onion domes appear, from memory, only on the WF, Battle Lab, and CY - something which I assume was linked (deliberately or subconsciously) to the importance of the three structures.

I know that its wrong because its for churches,but its just a game and the player wont stare at it and wonder why its there,in fact this cupola makes the building look cool!
