Ship with multiple weapons
Just a random idea to create a ship for a mission. Basically you'd use the Follows ID logic that trains use to put together multiple vehicles to form a single ship. Then use an empty SHP for all the units except the one in the middle (and give them Selectable=no, Immune=yes). This way only one unit is displayed and the movement doesn't look odd. You'd have to plan the movement carefully though so you don't get what happens at the end of the animation, with the ship breaking into multiple parts. Attach a trigger to the visible unit, so when it dies the hidden vehicles die too.
Interesting idea.
Though iirc there was some issue with trains having a turret.
Since the separate "cars" have some very strong movements to the side, it will be also a pain to get FireFLHs look right. e.g. you'll surely often have bullets launched next to the ship.
I think the best solution is still a deployable SHP ship which then has the 2,3 or more turrets in the turret anim (like the DTA battlecruiser or my old Aurora) _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
