Which in turn is an exact clone of the Mobile HQ / Radar Jammer.

Looks a lot like it, the front and sides are very similar.

But the 3D model this sprite was based on was unchanged, apart from the turret of course.

Yeah always assumed it was a Radar Jammer without the Jammer, ie Counterstrike Tesla Tank.

Actually, Westwood never removed the jamming ability from the Jammer clone aka Tesla Tank, so it still jamms your radar when it comes close.

The Tesla Tank in Counterstrike still had the spinning radar disc of the Jammer #Tongue

I think all REd Alert on PSX have this unit in the screen but on ingame. What unit is it I never know. I wanted it back in the days ^^.
