Just some stuff I've been doing.

The CCV-057 is a Nemesis class Fast Assault Carrier in the Helios Navy. She's a mainstay of the rapid response fleets, quickly and efficiently deploying forces to the battlefield. Her six main bays can comfortably house twelve small frigates, along with a large contingent of fighters/bombers.

I'm working slowly but surely, adding details as I work from bow to stern. Kind of.

Any comments and criticism is welcome here and on DeviantArt [HERE]. Enjoy! Smile

Text is style-less in my opinion. Can't tell the distance between the sides from lack of shading under the white "wings". Good design overall for what we know of your style, maybe work on the bland cannon design.

Oh and:
Who works in 2 dimensions anymore? And you couldn't upload it any larger? #Tongue

I'm just working on improving my vector skills. I don't really have the skill to model the kind of detail I can create with Ai.

As for the distance between sides, the "wings" are just large decorative armor plates. Theres some shading beneath it, you just have to view the full size to see it.

The cannons will get some love soon Smile

Users over at deviantArt were the real helpers. There are some REALLY good vector artists, especially madeinjapan1988 and HandOfManos.

To be honest with this it seems more like you're replicating MadeInJapan's style and exposition than doing anything original.

Try finding a style that doesn't look like one that has been done before.

Yeah, that's what I've been saying. I've actually conversed with him. There isn't really much you can do with profile views, as they all kind of look the same. It's the design of the ship that's going to be the major difference.

Yeah but the problem here is that even your ship design is heavily inspired.
