Secondary display
Subject description: laptop to laptop
I wanted to use a secondary display for my laptop to watch movies in a wider/bigger screen, by extending my display to the secondary display. Is it possible if I want to use another laptop as the secondary display? Via HDMI or VGA cable? Did some googling but didn't find anything useful. Or just probably wasn't looking hard enough. So, if anyone knows about this I would very much like to hear your opinions and suggestions. _________________

AFAIK laptop to laptop is not possible. Because you don't have any access to the panel directly and only via the GraCa, which has only an output but no input (i don't know of any GraCa with a VGA-IN or HDMI-IN, they all only have VGA-OUT HDMI-OUT).
Maybe there is a way using some scart/camera/s-video port, but most laptops don't have such ports anymore nowadays.
I vaguely remember reading years ago something about a direct USB connection from laptop to laptop and using this not only for data-transfer but for video too. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
A second laptop as a display probably won't work unless the screen can just function as a screen. You're better off using a monitor or TV with HDMI than trying to feed from one laptop to another. Though, if you have a second laptop, you don't need to connect anything. Just copy or load up whatever you want to watch on the other one and watch away. No fancy shit necessary. _________________ Discord: princess_marisa
