Allied Gates [RA2/YR]

Vinifera7 · Posted: Mon May 19, 2008 10:01 pm Post subject: Allied Gates [RA2/YR]

I'm releasing this as a public asset from my very old mod that was never finished. Feel free to use these in your mod as they are, or modified. Just remember to give credit to Vinifera7 and tmapm.

Normal and damaged frames are included, as well as a cameo for each facing. Art and Rules entries to use for a basis are also included in a TXT file.

The force field is transparent, but not the white part. There are blue dots spread throughout the thing. I'll try to make a quick mockup of what it would look like in-game.

This is NOT a real ingame screenshot. I do not have the gate correctly aligned on the walls, but this will give you an idea of how it looks.

Yeah, the blue background color is the only thing that is transparent. We used a dithering effect to make the forcefield/beam thing look partially transparent.

I Dislike these gates compared to the other two, good work non-the-less I guess.

That's cool with me. Someone else might want to use them, even if as a placeholder. V7 and I aren't the best at making graphics, but we did our best with what we had. Figured we would released them instead of letting them rot.

Not iloo, but close. What we have here is the poster boy for birth control.

Was that liran's post necessary here? Topic has been dead for two years and two months.

I like it

, but I think i found a bug. When I downloaded the file there were only four .shp's. Two gates and two cameos. But the game does not want to show me the gate just from the animation. Could you please make an image for the still gate like every building in red alert 2 has(OK, damaged, damaged) and also the SpecialZOverlay one. Thank you.

EDIT:
That's with all three of your gates. If you do fix it please PM me.

Vinifera has long left the community. If you want to make those still frames you'll have to make them yourself.

Thats how its executed. The Gates "Disappear" when opening. Also Necrobump? Confused
