PPM Anim Contest: 3rd place is...
That's it, people... we are now showing the results of the PPM Animation Contest. It's a pitty that this contest was made during a period of a high instability on the computers which hosted our sites and inumerous downtimes.
Even with all difficulties, there were 3 submissions. The submitters were: DJFreestyler, meselfs and Terror.
They were judged by Clazzy, Kravvitz and MyTrust.
And today, we're gonna reveal the third place.
Basic Info:
Nickname: meselfs
Position: 3rd
Submission: meselfs anim launcher and his explosion animation.
The submission was very nice, although it's hard to get a good screenshot of it because it runs too fast. So, now only Terror and DJFreeStyler is left. Who won? Results tomorrow and later we will post the PPM Animation Contest Package with all animations. That's all for now, folks. Sk8erkid made an EMP animation, but he was unable to code it properly in time and when the site went down, he kinda gave up or worked on something else... _________________

Release the EMP animation with the anim pack tomorrow, banshee, i'll try to code it. They don't call me the coding brain for nothin'! Nah, i'm kidding you, i'm not the master of TS coding, DvD is. But hey, one of us must be able to code the emp anim. I'll give it a try. QUICK_EDIT

Hehe, coding anims is dead easy. But hey, this anim looks kinda cool, it's basically a debris anim right?
An intense explosion which later on throws much debris.
All the debris is handled by the SHP, it doesn't use any attached particles. That IMO looks better and the game renders it faster too.
I might post the RA2 version later... the RA2 aim pallete allows bluish colors, which makes the explosion look very nice. _________________ My 3D to SHP tutorial
