Subject description: new version to replace stock one

Hello mortals! Thank you to Graion Dilach because he reminded me about this asset.
Atomic_Noodles created head previosly for something else, then I got idea that it can be used to replace ugly stock head which statue has.
Also, I made new shp to match with that head, and to get buildup and snow versions, so it can be build normally by player.
However it requires some of changes to ini coding.

Do not forget to credit Atomic_Noodles for voxel and MasterHaosis for shps.

Just put all shps inside pack into RA2 folder or inside mix and that hsould be it.

Art and rules are inside pack.

Does it has build up animation as well too? I might be interested in some of soviet and allied structures and use them in my mod.

The head isn't included in the build up.

sorry, but i really dislike that. Then i prefer the original voxel version
-it's too dark
-bad lighting: wrong light settings (the top of the head should be as bright as the southwest side and a highlight on the SW diagonal upward facing side) and missing reflections (can be metal texture with some nice bright spots)
-wrong colors: this doesn't fit at all to Yuri scheme
-ugly facial expression: sorry but it looks like it's giving a blowjob with the mouth open and eyes closed like that.
-the head seems to be tilted to the left side

I don't know how the voxel version of this one looks, but it can be only better than this SHP version.

I like it. Tho yeah, would be great if buildup has the turret on it.

Either this or MO 1.2's cannon as Grand Cannon equivalent. Then this IMO.

If you were in the discussion when I made that voxel I converted the head into a flying Shoop De Cannon for Yuri. And I was still very rough back then so yeah... I like to call it the blow up doll one. The Head just looks awkward without its neck like in the original 2x2 base for it.

Sorry, but a voxel version that looks actually worse than the original...well, I don't think it's needed. Try making the head in 3D or in a sculptor first. Reference from the ingames or the behind-the-scenes.

Makes me want to make a "Mother Brain" of it #Tongue

Like I said the Head was something I made around early last year or so I think. It was the first concept of a Yuri Heavy Gunship. (As you can see in CW the final design is much better) It was Haosis who got the bright idea of using this voxel for the turret. Honestly I prefer the original though. That Voxel was me experimenting and training myself back then.

guys, I accidentally forgot to include hva (actually it is renamed to cahead.shp instead of cahead.hva).

So, original (right one) firs in Yuri's scheme, and our ones does not?
I need to know which logic is this.
As I see, our version has Yuri's colors in it, unlike original one whose is made from brick rock completely.

Just look how clean is it compared to messy WW one.

This is how they look ingame compared to each other

Though not perfect, our look much better.

The original one looks better imo. It has much less flaws than this new version.
original pros
-intimidating/better facial expression
-more accurate shape (looks more like Yuri than the new version)
-better lighting
-more fitting texture (concerning color and brightness)

original cons
-pixelated texture (someone just has to go over it with a slight blur)

To change the weapon into a twin beam fired from the eyes shouldn't be a problem at all. Even newbies can do that. And it looks much better than a head vomiting a laser.

LKO, I  tried that too and I am not pleasant with it.
Because lasers must have Burst=2 and big distance between them. Also it uses prism laser warhead which is quite powerful for infantry, so it often kills infantry with half damage, meaning that will shot one soldier from one eye only to kill him sometimes. he cant shot from two eyes at same time, it must be at least one frame delay which wont happen because of instant damage.

Railguns would look bad with Burst=2.

However instead of arguing over nothing, Haosis, go prepare for your exams or try to expand the buildup. #Tongue

In TS you can combine railgun and laser to create a dual laser.

^^this is a single weapon firing 3 different colored laser with one shot. Even if Burst=2 is set, it always fires all 3 in one shot, not multiple shots.

Someone should rather redetail the original yuri head texture and making the shots come from eyes is actually best idea.

Speeder told me thats the FLH for a Burst=2 Weapon in IRC. No mention of Apollo though.

I was using once statue to shoots dual protons from those green eyes in original statue's head.

IMO original head still looks better, as its has stony look, it's also more scary

To be fair the head was a first draft for my Yuri Mothership. It was Haosis who was asking from me to get a copy of that Head Edit I made way back. I saw how silly and OTT that design was unless I heavily edited it to make it look more practical. One of the other concepts I had for it was it would be a perpetually spinning 3-Faced UFO (Something like a mashup of the design on the Shogun Executioner - 3 Body Parts & the Giga Fortress - Floating Head. Ultimately the design got scrapped in favor of my Oracle Mothership.

It was a failed voxel edit of mine for a Yuri Super Gunship.

The final design would have turned out into a 3-faced flying saucer. (Imaging Giga Fortress crossed with Shogun Executioner.
