No. I'm talking about an automatic resizer that prevents images from ever breaking the layout. In other words, one that always runs and one that works on attachments. Big images make for bad mobile viewing.

Its the attachments that need this indeed. Afaik for normal images there was one, but you still have to use it manually (instead of it doing it for you).

LKO pointed out the one for normal images but that's a joke. I don't think it would scale every image properly so an alternative is needed. This is why old shit can't be used forever. -_-

A stupid change in the style sheet can fix it together with another change to add a link to the image in the case of the attachments. Old forum software doesn't need to be blamed for it.

Regarding images added with BBCode, you can use:

Code:
[img=XXX]http://www.yourdomain.com/yourimage.yyy[/img]
to resize the width automatically to XXX (keeping the height proportional).

By the way, attachments had a thumbnail mode that I removed so many years ago that I even forgot the reason of removing it. I think it was somewhat annoying.
