i already had a look in the theme.ini, but it's not that clear actually.
gosh i feel so helpless...no excuse anyway.............what to do with the ini :p ?????????????????? (just had a look at the xcc but i guess that's not that helpful) QUICK_EDIT

TheDVD, expand doesnt work with the edited exe. You need to use rotdxp instead
But I know why it doesn't work... if you just take the C&C1 scores.mix it isn't TS mixfile format. TS simply can't read it. You need to extract all files, and use XCC Mix Editor to put them in a new, TS type, mix file.
(Just opening the mixfile in XCC Mix Editor and changing the MIX type doesn't work, since then it saves the file ID codes as filenames)
I called mine rotdxp05.mix and it worked perfectly. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

start xcc mixer, open rotdxp03.mix, put the aud files from TD in, choose "compact" in the xccmixer context menu, and you should have them in. QUICK_EDIT

Yea, I use XCC Mixer too.. it's so damn easy and works very well. I don't know why people still seek that winamp plugin.
eeh... the winamp plugin is from XCC too.
And it's very handy to convert an entire playlist
The plugin to PLAY aud files in WinAmp plain owns though. _________________ Last edited by Nyerguds on Wed Nov 17, 2004 12:52 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT

First of all you need a list with all filenames of the RA music. Easiest way of doing that is to open ra's scores.mix in XCC and writing them all down in an empty notepad doxument.
Now, you look for the highest number in the [Themes] list in theme.ini, and add the list of RA themes to it, starting with one higher than the highest one already in there
Like, if you have
81=RECN226M
82=VOIC226M
83=80MX226M
84=HEART
85=ROUT
86=VALKYRIE
at the end of the Themes list, start adding the RA themes like this
etc.
Needless to say, these are the actual filenames (with .aud) the game will look for.
Then, for each of the new entries you added, make a new header. You know, like [BIGF226M], [CRUS226M], [FAC1226M], [FAC2226M], [HELL226M], etc.
Under these headers, put the theme info like this:
[CRUS226M]
Name=Crush
Length=3.49
Scenario=1
Obviously, Name is the name to display in the Theme controls in TS and Length is the length in minutes.seconds to display there. Lenghth might be kinda hard to figure out if you don't have that AUD player plugin for WinAmp (otherwise, after extracting all themes, dump them in winamp and you got it), but AFAIK it's just to display in the list, and doesn't affect how or how long the themes are played.
"Scenario=" specifies in which mission number you are first allowed to hear the theme, so just add Scenario=1 to all themes you add to the list.
When that's done, just extract all RA themes and put them in a TS mixfile. rotdxp98.mix or something.
That's all I guess. Not that hard to figure out, is it?
[edit]
Dammit what are you bothering me for? It's all explained in the file itself!
; ******* Individual Theme Data *******
; The following sections supply the information specific to
; each theme declared.
;
; Name = display name of the theme
; Length = length of the theme (in minutes)
; Normal = Is it available through the in-game theme play list (def=yes)?
; Scenario = the scenario when the theme becomes available (def=0)
; Side = which side [or sides] get to hear this theme
; Repeat = Does this theme always loop (def=no)? _________________ QUICK_EDIT
