Questions related to maps

So I'm working on a little project involving validity of maps.
There are some things I'm not sure of or don't know, I'd like to ask whether you have an answer for the questions.

First up, can you set MinPlayers for a multiplayer map to anything other than 2? Iow: Does the game crash if MinPlayers != 2?

are you referring to just you on the map for testing? If so I havent tried in some time, but i used to put just me on the map and run around testing and no problems or crashes
